The New Zealand Commerce Commission recently launched a new website aimed at helping the health sector understand more about competition and consumer laws and what they need to do to comply. The new health sector website is health.comcom.govt.nz.

Did you know that the New Zealand Commerce Commission’s website offers a “jargon buster” page with the meaning of specialist words? (Thankfully, “ICN” is not considered jargon.)

 The New Zealand Commerce Commission publishes enforcement criteria it uses to assist it in its discretionary activities when making decision on whether to open an investigation, and what enforcement action it will take at the end of an investigation.

  The New Zealand Commerce Commission recently released guidelines to help trade associations understand their obligations under the Commerce Act.  The guidelines explain how the Commerce Act applies to trade associations and their individual members.  The guidelines also include practical steps that associations and members can take to reduce the risks of breaching the Commerce Act.   More information […]
