Update: Ireland

November 2nd, 2014

The Irish Competition Authority and the National Consumer Agency have amalgamated to form the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) on 31 October 2014. The CCPC will be responsible for enforcing both consumer protection and competition law in Ireland.

Update: Canada

The Competition Bureau of Canada recently released an update of its Intellectual Property Enforcement Guidelines (IPEGs). This update follows a public consultation held last spring.

The German Bundeskartellamt has recently published its detailed report on the sector inquiry into buyer power in the food retail sector. The inquiry focuses on the conditions of competition between the food retail companies on the one hand and their suppliers on the other. A summary of the final report is available in English.
