  The UK Competition Commission and the Office of Fair Trading have jointly published ‘A Quick Guide to UK Merger Assessment’ to help businesses understand what to expect from the UK competition authorities when they investigate a merger.

  The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and Competition Commission (CC) have today for the first time published joint Merger Assessment Guidelines (pdf 710kb).  The guidelines are designed to assist companies and their advisers by providing greater clarity on how the competitive impact of mergers is assessed. <HR>
