Today, ICNBlog begins a series of postings to highlight a unique type of competition advocacy – explaining competition to children. Look for additional postings in the coming days.

DAY 1 – JAPAN

The Japan Fair Trade Commission brings antitrust education to the classroom, offering seminars and lectures to junior high school, high school and college classes. The programs that aim to promote better understanding of competition policy include interactive aspects such as mock inspections.

The JFTC website includes an interactive section for kids to learn about competition and the Japanese antitrust laws, with comics and the character ‘Dokkin.’
